I Want to Spread Happiness with My Voice, Says– Gimba

In a recent interview, Gimba opened up about his perspective on music, describing it as having a dual purpose. “For me, music is about two things: it’s a way to lift people up with love and happiness, and it’s also my voice. It’s my own form of expression. It connects me to the world while keeping me grounded in my own journey,” he shared.

Interestingly, Gimba never envisioned a future as a musician while growing up, but life had other exciting plans. Just a year after his debut, he has already had the opportunity to collaborate with afrobeats icons such as Wizkid, Olamide, Wande Coal, Sarz, and DJ Tunez—a remarkable ascent that he finds truly awe-inspiring.

Reflecting on his first year in the music scene, he noted, “As a new artist coming out strong, there was a lot of pressure to maintain that energy. But I’m grateful that God is guiding me through every step of the way. It’s been incredible.”

His latest EP, “Amince Da Tsari,” which translates to “Trust the Process” in Hausa, features the standout track “Tingrado” featuring Olamide, a song that’s gaining traction across social media platforms.

One key aspect of Gimba’s early success lies in his unique jazz-infused afrobeats sound, a style he honed at Sarz Academy in 2022.

“Amince Da Tsari is a reflective project, where I share my story. Each track is a piece of who I am, starting with ‘Nightmares,’ which explores how I coped with pressure,” Gimba explained about his EP.
