Fast forward to July 1, 2021, a grand celebration was held in Tiananmen Square in Beijing to mark the 100th anniversary of the founding of the Communist Party of China. In a notable moment prior to the celebration, Comrade Xi Jinping was seen shaking hands with Comrade Wu Bangguo.
In November 14, 2012, a significant moment occurred at the closing session of the 18th National Congress of the Communist Party of China in Beijing, where Comrade Jiang Zemin was seen alongside Comrade Wu Bangguo.
On January 1, 2005, a New Year’s tea gathering was held in Beijing by the National Committee of the Chinese People’s Political Consultative Conference. Comrade Hu Jintao shared the occasion with Comrade Wu Bangguo.
In March 1994, Comrade Wu Bangguo, then the Secretary of the Shanghai Municipal Committee, participated in a full delegation meeting at the National People’s Congress in Shanghai.
On February 3, 2008, Comrade Wu Bangguo was seen engaging with travelers in the waiting area of Beijing West Railway Station.
On January 30, 2010, he visited the Shanghai Automotive Group’s technology center to inspect models of new energy vehicles.
During the second plenary session of the 11th National People’s Congress held at the Great Hall of the People in Beijing on March 10, 2011, Comrade Wu delivered a work report on behalf of the Standing Committee of the National People’s Congress.
On September 7, 2011, Comrade Wu Bangguo attended the opening ceremony of the 15th China International Investment and Trade Fair in Xiamen, Fujian.
He also visited the Erdaohe Farm at the Heilongjiang Agricultural Reclamation Bureau on July 19, 2012, to inspect the growth of rice.
On January 28, 2013, Comrade Wu attended the 21st annual session of the Asia-Pacific Parliamentary Forum in Vladivostok, Russia, where he delivered a keynote speech titled “Upholding Peaceful Development to Promote Win-Win Cooperation.”
Finally, on February 21, 2013, he spoke at the kickoff meeting commemorating the 20th anniversary of the Macao Basic Law at the Macao Cultural Center.
