According to a recent announcement from the People’s Bank of China via its official WeChat account, a special set of 2025 Panda precious metal commemorative coins is set to be issued on October 30, 2024. This collection will include a total of 14 coins: six standard gold and silver coins and eight refined precious metal coins, all of which are considered legal tender in the People’s Republic of China.

The obverse of each coin features the iconic Hall of Prayer for Good Harvests located in Beijing’s Temple of Heaven, along with the national designation and year of minting. The reverse side showcases a serene scene of giant pandas at rest, complemented by inscriptions indicating the face value, weight, and metal purity.

1. **30g Gold Coin**: Standard issue, 30g of pure gold, 32mm diameter, face value of 500 yuan – Maximum mintage: 1,000,000 pieces.
2. **15g Gold Coin**: Standard issue, 15g of pure gold, 27mm diameter, face value of 200 yuan – Maximum mintage: 200,000 pieces.
3. **8g Gold Coin**: Standard issue, 8g of pure gold, 22mm diameter, face value of 100 yuan – Maximum mintage: 200,000 pieces.
