Residence attacked Netanyahu- Lebanese Hezbollah tried to assassinate me

On October 19, the Israeli Prime Minister’s Office reported that Hezbollah launched a drone targeting Prime Minister Netanyahu’s private residence in the northern city of Caesarea. In response, Netanyahu issued a statement accusing the Iran-backed group of attempting to assassinate him.

According to reports, at the time of the incident, Netanyahu and his wife were not at home, and there were no reported casualties among others present. Netanyahu characterized the attack as “a serious mistake” on Hezbollah’s part.

As of now, Hezbollah has not acknowledged the attack, although the Iranian mission to the United Nations stated later that evening that “the operation was carried out by Hezbollah.” An Israeli military spokesperson confirmed that the drone “struck a building in Caesarea while attempting to attack the Prime Minister.”

Agencies report that Caesarea, located about 20 kilometers south of Haifa, has been targeted by Hezbollah in the past.
