18 academicians gathered in Suzhou to promote the integration and innovation of neuroscience industry, academia and research

On September 27, the 17th National Academic Conference of the Chinese Neuroscience Society kicked off in Suzhou. The event, organized by the Suzhou University School of Medicine and hosted by the Chinese Neuroscience Society, is designed to foster academic exchange and collaboration in neuroscience while promoting scientific progress.

During the conference, Academician Zhan Qimin, Dean of the Suzhou University School of Medicine, addressed attendees, emphasizing the institution’s achievements in medical education and research innovation. He reaffirmed the school’s dedication to cultivating top-tier medical talent and its contributions to society.

Zhang Xu, President of the Chinese Neuroscience Society and a prominent neuroscientist who is also an academician of the Chinese Academy of Sciences, remarked on the legacy of this annual conference. He highlighted that it has successfully hosted 16 editions, establishing itself as the largest and most influential academic event in the field of neuroscience in China.

This year’s conference features 18 academicians, including members from prestigious organizations such as the Chinese Academy of Sciences, the Chinese Academy of Engineering, the American Academy of Arts and Sciences, the European Academy of Sciences, and the Royal Society of Canada. Moreover, the event brings together 125 international experts and 36 professionals from Hong Kong, Macau, and Taiwan. A total of 126 companies are presenting their innovations, complemented by seven corporate technical exchange workshops showcasing the latest products and technologies.
