On October 14, at 8 AM, the Heilongjiang Meteorological Station issued a cold wave warning. The minimum temperatures in six cities, including Hegang, Jiamusi, and Shuangyashan, are expected to drop by 10°C to 12°C. Following this drop in temperature, most areas in Heilongjiang will see minimums reach 0°C and below, so residents are advised to prepare for the cold.
According to the forecast, temperatures in Heilongjiang will gradually decrease from west to east starting today. From October 14 to 16, the minimum temperatures in regions including Daxinganling, Heihe, Yichun, Qiqihar, Suihua, Daqing, and Harbin are expected to drop by more than 8°C. Particularly between October 15 and 16, cities such as Hegang, Jiamusi, Shuangyashan, Qitaihe, Jixi, and Mudanjiang will experience a drop of 10°C to 12°C.
In addition, the Heilongjiang Provincial Meteorological Bureau’s weather forecast indicates that throughout the day and night on October 14, light snow is expected in the northern part of Daxinganling, while mixed rain and snow may occur in the central and southern areas. Southeastern Heihe, northern Suihua, and northwestern Harbin are forecasted to experience moderate rain, with light rain in other regions. From the day into the night on October 15, the southern part of Yichun, Jiamusi, Shuangyashan, Qitaihe, Jixi, and eastern Mudanjiang will see cloudy skies with possible showers. Notably, parts of southern Yichun may experience mixed rain and snow, while other areas will be mostly clear with occasional clouds.
During the day on October 14, maximum temperatures will range from 2°C to 4°C in northern Daxinganling, 9°C to 11°C in the southern part, 16°C to 18°C in northern Heihe, Yichun, and Qiqihar, and 19°C to 21°C in the remaining areas.
As for the night of October 14, minimum temperatures are projected to fall to between -11°C and -9°C in northern Daxinganling, -5°C to -3°C in the southern part and northern Heihe, and -2°C to 0°C in southern Heihe and northern Yichun. Qiqihar, Daqing, and Suihua will see temperatures between 1°C and 3°C, while other areas will range from 3°C to 5°C.
From October 14 to 15, strong gusts ranging from level 6 to 8 are anticipated across most areas of Heilongjiang, with localized gusts reaching up to level 9 in southern Heihe and Harbin. Residents should also be aware that some northern areas may experience icy roads, so precautions are advised.
